You were with us for only eight years but all the love that you shared with us will be remembered forever.
Timber was part of our family, like a child to us. We know some people don't understand and only think of them as "pets"., but others who have know the unconditional love of having a dog in the family understand the pain we feel on losing Timber. He brought us joy when we were unhappy, gave us love when no one else did, gave us hope when times were bad, made us smile when were were depressed, gave us energy to go on when we were tired. All of this he gave us and only asked for shelter, food, and some love in return.
It was love at first site on that day in November 1990, when you first looked at me with those baby blue eyes at the Hillside SPCA. We took you to the office where I work and immediately became friends with everyone like you knew them all your life. You came into our home, met Tasha and Dingo your new family, looked around the house a little, and made yourself at home on our bed. You let us know you were comfortable and happy from the first day. We heard of another Husky named Timber and felt it would be a good name for you. It was fitting for you. From the first day you became friends with Dingo, our Blue Healer, who is very dominate and bossy. The two of you became friends and played from that day forward.
Timber has passed over the Rainbow Bridge on July 9, 1999, and now waits for us to join him someday.
